My Approach
I take a process-oriented approach to therapy.
This means I bring focus to your decision-making process. My goal is to help you better understand yourself and your emotional process.
I believe we have to understand and accept why we made choices in the past to make different choices in the future.
Exploring your past and present experiences will shed light on how your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors contribute to your internal and external conflict. These factors are different for every person, so I consider your unique culture, lifestyle, and basic belief system as well.
I integrate cognitive-behavioral, strength-based, and systemic tools to help you navigate challenges and come up with solutions.
My goal in therapy is to help my clients better understand themselves. I do this by creating a non-judgmental curious space where my clients can explore their emotions, challenge their thoughts, and connect with deeper parts of themselves.
